01 · The game

The rules you already love, a brand-new adventure

Meridiano adapts a modern board-strategy classic —the very engine praised by players and influencers— and takes it aboard the expedition that measured the Earth. Identical depth, an entirely new setting.

Turn-based strategy

The same management and planning system that won over the community, now at the helm of a scientific expedition.

Territory control

Plot routes, measure meridian arcs and claim positions on a map of the equator inspired by 18th-century cartography.

Event cards

Twists of the voyage —storms, discoveries, alliances— that keep every game fresh and unpredictable.

Easy to learn, hard to master. Designed for family tables and expert players alike.

02 · Who he was

Jorge Juan y Santacilia

Novelda, 1713 — Madrid, 1773 · Sailor and scientist

A Spanish sailor, mathematician and scientist, he was one of the great enlightened minds of his time. Between 1735 and 1744 he joined the French-Spanish geodesic expedition to the Viceroyalty of Peru —in present-day Ecuador— to measure a meridian arc and determine the true shape of the Earth.

His observations confirmed that the planet is flattened at the poles and left decisive contributions to science and navigation. That feat of measuring the world is the thematic heart of Meridiano.
